Tadworth St, Tadworth KT20 5UR, UK
The Children’s Trust runs the UK’s largest rehabilitation centre for children with brain injury. It also provides education for children with profound and multiple learning difficulties; and a range of therapies and care for children with complex health needs; short breaks and holiday camps. Support is also available for children across the county with brain injuries who have returned home, as well as online information and support for parents.
We run the UK’s largest paediatric residential rehabilitation service for children with brain injury. Each child has an individual programme of therapy, education and care. It is funded by NHS England via National Specialist Commissioning or via CCGs.
We provide a nurse-led service for children who are technology-dependent. This includes children: who have a complex tracheostomy; require artificial ventilation; fed via parenteral nutrition; need central line management/intravenous medication.
Our Brain Injury Community Team supports children and young people in challenges around cognition, communication/behaviour and gives them the best opportunity to succeed in school. The team works closely with the child’s family, school/local agencies.
All schools, childcare and SEND providers must make their policy and provision for children with
Special Educational Needs (SEN) available on their website. This is usually published in the
provider's SEN information report. This link takes you to where you can find this provider's
SEN information report.
If you cannot find what you are looking for or you have questions about the provider's SEN
provision, you should contact the provider directly.
We usually hold some information about a provider's policy and provision and you can find what
we do hold here.
The Children’s Trust School is non-maintained for children aged 3 upwards with learning difficulties. We combine education, therapy, care and medical cover to cater for children with complex medical needs, degenerative conditions and sensory impairments.
Our residential short breaks offer flexible and nurse-led care for children and young people between the ages of 0 to 18. We also offer holiday schemes and Saturday clubs for children from Surrey with complex needs.
You can find out how to refer a child on the Children’s Trust website
