Description

Somerset Film is dedicated to empowering individuals and communities through film and digital technology. We work across three strands: community access, talent development and film and digital production. We deliver a wide range of activities including:

  • Access to equipment and expertise through our weekly free Drop-In for all ages and abilities.
  • Activities for young people – from after school clubs to half-term activities including Short Breaks, BFI Film Academy and Lens Captains.
  • Courses – develop your skills from basic IT to industry standard software in a range of subjects from animation and film making to photography and web design.
  • Community Projects – such as Polish Voice TV.
  • Film Screenings – including free film clubs for young people.
  • Family Activities – through our Family Connections programme.
  • Ignite Somerset – passing on digital skills to artists in all art forms and audiences alike.
  • InspirED Somerset – we work with schools through InspirED Somerset. A County Arts Education Network devoted to developing creative oppportunities for children and young people through education.
