Somerset Dyslexia Association

  • Type of SEND provision:

Description

The Somerset Dyslexia Association is run entirely by volunteers, working from their own homes. We aim to be a source of information and practical support to anyone who has dyslexia and to raise public awareness and understanding of dyslexia.

We run two conferences a year for those who support anyone with dyslexia for example teachers or parents. Committee members run a parent support group and adult support group as best they can, usually by phone at the moment.

Membership is £14 for direct debit payments, or £15 by cheque annually. Members have free access to our resources, discounted tickets to our conferences, and ‘Contact’ magazine from the British Dyslexia Association three times a year.

The SDA is a registered charity No.289263. It is affiliated to the British Dyslexia Association.

Special educational needs and disabilites information

All schools, childcare and SEND providers must make their policy and provision for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) available on their website. This is usually published in the provider's SEN information report. This link takes you to where you can find this provider's SEN information report.

If you cannot find what you are looking for or you have questions about the provider's SEN provision, you should contact the provider directly.

We usually hold some information about a provider's policy and provision and you can find what we do hold here.
