Description

At the Social Skills Agency, we offer social skills learning programmes for children and young people (10 to 25 years old), who struggle with social communication – the introverted, the anxious, the lonely, the bullied and the over-enthusiastic. We specialise in supporting children and young people with Asperger’s Syndrome/autism.

Our programmes are tailored to the individual needs of the participants. Social skills learnt in the groups may include:

  • Play and conversation skills – turn taking, greeting peers, sharing, and understanding multiple perspectives
  • Teamwork – negotiation and compromising
  • Understanding friendships
  • Accepting yourself – self-esteem and resilience

We also offer one-to-one or small group sessions for pre-employment skills (15 to 25 year-olds) and executive functioning skills strategies for secondary school, college and beyond.
