Selworthy Learning Support Centre, Selworthy Road, Taunton, Somerset, TA2 8HD
About the Learning Support Centre (LSC) at Selworthy School
We offer a welcoming environment where you can come for a drink and a chat, to look at the resources and equipment we have on offer and discuss your specific needs. We house a library of the latest professional publications and educational media as well as a range of books.
The LSC is designed to be flexible as well as visually inviting and relaxing. This enables us to work supportively and collaboratively with professionals, parents and our local community to ensure the best possible provision for children, young people and adults with Special Educational Needs.
We also have a meeting room, with the capacity to seat up to 14 people depending on requirements. The simplicity of the design along with the interactive screen offers a professional environment to conduct meetings and this space is available to hire.
Annual memberships are available for nurseries, schools, residential settings, organisations and parents outside of Selworthy School that care for someone with Special Educational Needs.

If you would like a membership pack please contact us and we will be happy to email or post one to you.
Support for Schools
In addition to LSC membership Selworthy School offers Specialist Strategy Support which aims to support other settings in meeting the needs of complex learners.
All schools, childcare and SEND providers must make their policy and provision for children with
Special Educational Needs (SEN) available on their website. This is usually published in the
provider's SEN information report. This link takes you to where you can find this provider's
SEN information report.
If you cannot find what you are looking for or you have questions about the provider's SEN
provision, you should contact the provider directly.
We usually hold some information about a provider's policy and provision and you can find what
we do hold here.
The Learning Support Centre is available to anyone with an interest in Special Educational Needs.
You are welcome to drop in during our opening times for a drink and a browse. If it is your first visit to the LSC we do recommend that you contact us first to make an appointment. Sometimes it is helpful, if you have specific requests, to telephone ahead of your visit so we can do some preparation for you.
We look forward to welcoming you to Selworthy Learning LSC
