Description

An initiative called Project SEARCH is a one-year programme which aims to give young people with Learning Disabilities the skills to get competitive paid employment.

The Project SEARCH programme was first developed in the USA and now helps people with learning disabilities all over the world to gain paid employment (at minimum wage or above).

In 2015 there were more than 400 Project SEARCH sites globally, and 39 in the UK, which achieved employment for 60 to 100 per cent of the interns who took part in the programme.

Special educational needs and disabilites information

All schools, childcare and SEND providers must make their policy and provision for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) available on their website. This is usually published in the provider's SEN information report. This link takes you to where you can find this provider's SEN information report.

If you cannot find what you are looking for or you have questions about the provider's SEN provision, you should contact the provider directly.

We usually hold some information about a provider's policy and provision and you can find what we do hold here.
