What is the Helper service?
The Marie Curie Helper service is provided by trained volunteers who visit people in their homes offering companionship and support for up to three hours each week, all completely free of charge.
Someone to chat to over a coffee, helping you run an errand or being there when you need someone to talk to. That’s what a Helper volunteer is there for.
Once referred to the Marie Curie Helper Service we will match you with a trained, dedicated helper volunteer who will visit you at home, go out with you somewhere or talk to you over the phone – all for a few hours each week. Contact us if you’d like support from our free service in Somerset and Bristol.
