After-school pottery classes making and decorating hand-built clay models and pots tutored by experienced potter and teacher Jenny Barton in her own studio. Under 8’s need to be accompanied by adult.

Helps children of all abilities to create functional and non-functional pieces using clay.

Improves dexterity and spatial awareness with the function of forming coils, balls and other shapes and concentrating on three dimensional work.

Builds confidence as they learn that what they make can’t be wrong as long as it holds together. Every child’s work is unique.

Improve social skills by being in a small group environment and having to respect the studio and people in it, wait for instructions and communicate clearly.

Jenny has been teaching pottery for 14 years with both adults and children. Gained C&G Ceramics and 3D design at Portsmouth Uni, BAhons Degree at Bath Spa.
