Dental Access Centres treat patients who cannot reasonably access dental care through general dental services. They have teams of dentists, therapists, hygienists, dental nurses and non-clinical administrative staff that provide dental care.

You will usually be referred to the service by your dentist. If you are not registered with a dentist and you feel you have a physical, medical or mental condition that is creating a barrier to your accessing adequate dental care, then please contact the dental helpline on 0300 123 7691.
Once a referral has been received for routine treatment, you will be sent an appointment in the post along with a medical history form, a carers form, and a letter.
