At the end of last term, we told you about the launch of the Autism and ADHD ‘month of discovery’ to find out more about provision for children and young people with ADHD and Autism in Somerset (see article in SEND News 22 July).

We are planning a series of events, an online survey and phone lines to enable you to share your views and thoughts on what you would like to see in the future.

The month will start with a number of workshops on the assessment process for ADHD and Autism. These workshops are open to anyone who wants to attend from SENCOs and education staff, to parent/carers and young people – the more people that get involved the better!

Sessions will be held on Wednesday 29 September – running in both the morning and evening to allow more people to take part.

Morning sessions

  • Wednesday 29 September 2021 – 10:00-11:20 – focus on ADHD
  • Wednesday 29 September 2021 – 11:40- 13:00 – focus on Autism

Evening sessions

  • Wednesday 29 September 2021 – 17:00-18:20 – focus on ADHD
  • Wednesday 29 September 2021 – 18:40- 20:00 – focus on Autism

Each session will split, to allow specific conversations about ADHD and Autism. Participants can attend one or both parts, depending on their interest.

To book your space at one of these sessions, please use the booking form.
