A free online course offering families health and wellbeing advice is available for all Somerset parents and carers aged over 19.

Delivered by Young Somerset in collaboration with Somerset Skills & Learning, it is designed to help to help look after the family’s emotional, mental and physical wellbeing in lockdown.

During the course parents/carers will learn about the seven pillars of wellbeing, how to help children be more resilient, how the whole family can have fun and stay physically healthy in lockdown and how to make a plan and stick to it.

There are four two-hour sessions each month (Monday 6-8pm), which feature a mixture of presentation, discussion and activities. Get ideas, hints and tips about keeping everyone healthy during lockdown and making the most of opportunities while getting the chance to talk to other parents and carers in the same situation.

Spaces are available on the course which starts on Monday 10 May.
