Bridgwater and Taunton College – Childcare Centre
Bridgwater and Taunton College Childcare Centre provides childcare based on a free flow semi integrated philosophy. The centre is purpose built on one level to provide a light and airy space that supports childen’s learning through the development of their independence by encouraging them to access resources and play and learn where they chose. The setting provides an inspirational outside garden that includes a mud kitchen, Forest School area, areas to ride bikes, build dens and explore. A kitchen garden has been developed to encourage children to learn about healthy eating and where our food comes from. The setting has a sensory room and project room designed to encourage children to explore different creative mediums, returning to their project on a daily or weekly basis. We plan around the individual needs and interests of each child, monitoring their development and planning for their next steps to ensure they are making progress in their learning and preparing them for their transitions both within the setting and to school. As a commercial business, we provide childcare for staff and students and are open to the public as well, having transitioned children to over 17 schools across the County over the past few years. Our staff are highly qualified and motivated to provide exceptional levels of care and education for your child.
